There we were, standing tall with the wind blowing our hair. We had blood everywhere and we looked like shit. Our hair was messed and there was no place on our bodies that was not covered in blood. And yet we felt great, and very proud. We had overcome all odds and we had beaten the very thing that we had come to beat. We were done fighting, and it was all over. There would be no more sailor scouts if there was no evil. We were 16, and damn well old enough to take care of ourselves. But I had a feeling, that no matter what, we would never be as close as we were now. I had a horrible feeling that we would not see each other as much.
Now we had actual lives. We had no more evil to protect the world from. So where’s the story in this story? Every story has to have a plot; I mean I can’t just write about our everyday lives now, because they’re just like yours. BORING! Damn, so what the fuck am I writing about? Our friendship. The way we drifted apart after the final battle…
Amy
“I can’t talk right now, Usagi, I have to study.” Amy hung up the phone on me. She sighed and picked up a book. No matter how hard she tried to study all she could think about was the sailor scouts. “What’s wrong with me?” Amy whispered. “I’m starting to fall behind in my classes. This has never happened to me before. I guess no matter what I’ll always be a sailor scout. But I can’t keep up these bad study habits… maybe if I take a walk it’ll clear my mind…”
Amy stood up and grabbed her coat. “I’m going for a walk!” She yelled. “Ok Honey,” her mom yelled back. Amy sighed and opened the door. She walked to the park and sat down. She tried to start studying, but it seemed almost impossible.
“Hey Amy,” Lita smiled. “Lita, it’s been a while. “Yeah,” Lita said back, “ever since… anyway I hope to see you soon.” Amy smiled. She looked down at her books and sighed. “It’s no use…” she mumbled.
Lita
Lita walked away from Amy. She only thought about one thing, the sailor scouts. She didn’t even imagine what she would be doing right now if she had never become sailor Jupiter. She spotted Ken, but she was in no mood to go and talk to him. She just smiled as she passed him.
As she passed the malt shop where the scouts had often hung out and talked she smiled. “I guess those days are over… I know that it was hell just fighting all the damn time… but I wish it wasn’t over… I wish we were still fighting.” She shook her head. “What the hell am I thinking? I can’t fight anymore. I have a life now…” she looked at the shop and walked as fast as she could past it.
There was no way she could go back to fighting evil, but there was no way that she could go back to normal life ether. “Life is so fucked up… once you think that you’re not happy anymore and your hell on Earth ends, you realize that you were happy with what you had before.”
Mina
Mina sat down and slurped her malt. In 12 seconds flat she was done. A waiter gave her a funny look. “Hit me barkeep,” she said, “And while you’re at it throw in a piece of strawberry cheesecake.” He looked a t her. And walked away. He gave her what she ordered.
She ate her cheesecake and slurped her malt. She sighed and blew the hair in front of her face away. She was thinking of all the times that the sailor scouts had eaten here and had fun. She remembered everything they had, they had, had fights and celebrations.
She looked out the window. She felt so depressed.
Rei
Rei looked at the fire in front of her. She couldn’t concentrate at all. She missed everything that they had had together. She missed Amy, Lita, Darien, Rene, Mina, Hell, she even missed the way Usagi and her had fought, all the time. They were best friends and yet they hadn’t seen each other for weeks.
She finally was able to concentrate enough to ask the fire a question. “Oh please tell me will the sailor scouts ever be again?” the door bust open, from the wind, which made Rei lose her concentration. Rei’s grandpa walked in. “Rei!!!! Have you finished all your chores.” Rei looked away. “No, I… I don’t feel so good. I’m going to go lay down…”
Grandpa looked at her. “That girl has been acting weird for the last few weeks… Hmm…”
Usagi
I couldn’t stand it anymore. I was going insane. I missed everyone and everything. Why the hell was my life getting all fucked up? I was just starting to enjoy being a sailor scout and now it’s all over? Fuck that!
I even lost Rene. She had to go back to the future, now that the past was safe. Don’t ask… I’m confused too. Anyway, Darien and I are still together, but not much has happened…
There was only one thing on my mind… besides food that is. I remember that the first time I became sailor moon I was so bad, and so afraid. And when we fought Queen Beryl how I felt so good after that. I also remembered all the other times that when things became really bad, how we had overcome evil and felt great… Why the fuck did it have to end now?
The end??????
No it wasn’t.
A few weeks later Luna came and sat by me. Everyone else came a few minutes later. “Hey, guys what’s up?” Lita asked.
Luna frowned. “Guys I hope you enjoyed your last days of freedom from the scouts… we just found a nega point. Suit up… we’re going to check it out.” We all jumped. Luna looked at us confused. “It’s not over,” I said, “I thought I’d be happy when it was, but I wasn’t happy.” Everyone else agreed. “We’re the sailor scouts, we can’t let this evil affect us,” Lita agreed. “I couldn’t study,” Amy added. “I wonder how Sailor Pluto and the others are doing?” Mina asked. “They probably never stopped fighting.” Rie answered. We smiled, and transformed.
Darien started running. Rene fell down onto his shoulders “I’m back! You didn’t seriously think you could win this battle without me?” she asked. “Well we had a better chance…” I mumbled.
Ok, Ok, so my story’s a little well, everywhere, but hey if I were any good at writing stories, I’d be like Amy right? Well I guess the important thing is that I got the point across. We were the sailor scouts and without each other it wasn’t he same. Friendship so rules!!!
Author’s note: Sorry guys this story was so much better in my head… Oh well…
