I stared at how beautiful the park was. It reminded me constantly of Ken. That in itself was enough to make me love it whether it was beautiful or not. Someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around no matter how much I wanted to think of Ken and how we met here.
“Ken!” I yelled happily. Ken smiled, a smile that soon faded. “Lita…” “Ken what’s wrong?” “Lita… I’m moving. I’m moving far away.”
“What? Why?” “I fear it may be for the best…” “But Ken,” Ken interrupted which he verily ever did.
“Lita. Don’t ask questions. All you need to know is that I’m leaving.” With that Ken turned and walked away.

I stared at him, walking into the distance. What was going to happen form now on? How were the sailor scouts going to Be without him? I rubbed my arm. Ken and I had always told each other everything so I was worried as to What was wrong now? Ken usually didn’t keep secrets form me.

I said this without even thinking, “Ken? What’s wrong? You’ve never not told me anything before.”

Ken stopped from across the street and stared at me. Immediately I felt bad for saying that to him. “Lita…” He never did say anything else. It was like he was keeping something from me… something he didn’t want me to know. I realized what time it was and ran off to meet the scouts at the coffee shop. I really didn’t want to go, and leave Ken, but I knew that they would be mad if I didn’t show.

When I got there Serena was fascinated with my story. “Wow,” she said amazed, “What if he has another girlfriend?” That’s what was the most annoying thing about Serena. Out of everything she does including her constant wailing that was the worst. I looked at her not knowing what to say. I considered the thought then forced it from my mind, mad at myself for even considering it. I stood up. “I’ve got to go.” Serena looked at me. “Oh gosh, Lita, I’m sorry.” I smiled “It’s ok Serena it’s not you. I just have a lot of homework.” Darien obviously knew I was lying, I was so transparent.

I walked home and lied down. I had a million things running thru my mind and I can guarantee you, none of them were biology. I thought and rethought why Ken wouldn’t tell me why he was moving. Then I thought I would call his parents… they’d know for sure.

I picked up the phone and without thinking once dialed Ken’s number. I thought I should put it on speed dial I used it so often. The phone was answered. I blurted my question out. “Are you guys moving?” “Lita?” Ken’s mother asked. “Whatever gave you that idea? Of course we’re not moving. Why would we move?” I felt a lump in my throat. “
“Oh I was just wondering,” I lied. “But why dear?” “Well it’s just that… it’s just a dream I had and I hadn’t talked to Ken so I was worried.” I hung up the phone.
Ken lied to me. This had never happened before. Why would Ken lie to me? He had never done that before.
Serena’s words kept beating in my head even though I tried to convince myself it wasn’t true. “Maybe he gas another girlfriend?” how could Serena say that? I forced back tears thought I didn’t know why I was crying. I have to remain strong, I told myself, although it didn’t help. I heard a knock on the door and jumped up hoping it would b Ken. I answered the door. “Darien?” I asked trying to stay cheery and all but I knew that my heart must have hit the floor, the pain and thought of losing Ken was so bad.
“Lita, I came by to give you this, you left it at the coffee shop.” He handed me my earring. “How, how did you find this? I don’t remember taking it off.” I asked feeling my ear and now realizing that it was missing. After Darien left I had more things on my mind than just Ken… well they were still mostly about Ken but now I seemed to have a mystery of a missing earring that I never took off. NEVER. I convinced myself that it had probably fallen off.
Thinking back to Ken… I realized the way he’d been acting lately. Or maybe I had just imagined it. I decided maybe to ease my mind that I would go to the place I first met him… the gazebo in the park.
It started raining as I got there but for some reason I kept wanting him to come up behind me with an umbrella.
“Lita wait!” I turned around to see Ken yelling at me. AS he caught up and caught his breath I blurted everything out at once. “You lied to me! You’re not moving!” He stood there and looked at me for a second.
“I know Lita… I’m sorry. I came to tell you that…” He didn’t finish. It seemed hard and mean to say what I had and I felt bad now, but I wasn’t going to apologize until he told me what was going on.
“Lita,” he continued, “I’m not moving but…(Pause) but I can’t see you anymore.” He turned and walked away. “Ken? Ken!” I yelled but he didn’t look at me anymore. I felt my heart fall to the ground. I just left it there. I felt horrible.
All night I couldn’t think of anything else. Why wouldn’t he be able to see me anymore? What had I done wrong to upset him? Why did he lie to me at first? My head was spinning with nothing but Ken.
I got up in the middle of the night. I had actually slept which I didn’t think was even possible. I had the worst dream. I feel bad to say that Ken was in my nightmare but I can’t lie.
(The dream, back on the planet Jupiter long before the moon battle)

Princess Jupiter? May I come in?” “Of course, Chisato. What do you need?” “Princess Jupiter, I was wondering about Prince Ken. He seems to be lonely. I was wondering what was wrong?” “Oh, Chisato. Ken wouldn’t like you calling him Prince Ken if he knew. When we’re alone, in a room were there is no surveillance, like this one, we can call as we like.” “I know, Makoto. I just don’t want to be rude…” “You’re not being rude. Now what was your question?” “I was wondering about Ken…”
I looked down. “I’m sorry, Chisato. I really haven’t heard from him in days. I fear something must be wrong. One day he just stopped talking to me…” “I’m sorry, to have bothered you Makoto. I’ll leave now.” “Chisato wait.” “Yes Makoto?” “I wanted to say that I fear he doesn’t care for me anymore. Do you think he has found someone else or should I trust him? He’s never lied to me before.”
Chisato smiled. “I think, Makoto, you should trust him. You two are in love and nothing will tear that apart. What do I know? I’ve never been in love.” She smiled, and turned towards the door, then stopped. “Oh and Makoto? If he has found someone else he’s missing out.” I smiled at her. “Thanks Chisato.”
I stared at the gloomy sky. Jupiter seemed gloomy without him, everything seemed gloomy without him. I saw a figure that resembled Ken. As the figure got closer I realized it was him. My eyes grew wide, for I could not wait for him to hold me in his arms. I ran out to see him, despite my parent’s wishes. “Ken!” I yelled but as I got closer I saw that he was not as happy to see me as I was him. “Kennie,” I said, “What’s wrong?” His eyes lowered. “Kennie?”
“Princess Jupiter, I fear we can no longer be together.” “What? Why?” “Look around you, Makoto. Jupiter is beautiful now, but may not be in a few years.” “What do you mean? Jupiter will always be beautiful, as long as you’re on it.” “Makoto, you don’t understand…” We just stared at each other for a while. “But why?” I asked not even knowing that something was even able to go through my throat right now.
Ken looked at me and smiled. The way I had longed to see him smile. It was that warm cuddly smile that all you thought about all day. He reached his hand to mine and lowered it then he kissed it. “Farwell my love.” He looked at me then disappeared into thin air.
That was where it started getting bad. “Ken!” I yelled but nothing came out. My legs locked up and I was unable to move. I screamed again but I was now not even sure where I was. All around me it looked like a new world. No, not just a new world maybe a whole entire universe. It was all dark everywhere. In the distance I could see a sliver of whatever it was. I went as close as I could get to it. But the closer it to the farther away it seemed. I then dropped into what seemed to be a bottomless pit. When I did get to the bottom though, I saw Ken. “Ken!” I yelled, not caring where I was. All I cared about was Ken. Nothing else seemed to matter.
Ken looked back at me. “Makoto no! Stay away.” Then it all made sense. I heard a voice from above. “Your lives are both in great danger right now. If anyone of you two shall come closer together, then Makoto won’t be anymore.”
I looked at Ken with a tear in my eye. I wasn’t going to lose him… or was I?

I know sat up in bed trying to force the dream out of my thoughts. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to. If what the dream said was true, then I would never be able to see Ken again… no contact. Not even an innocent smile. Nothing. My head started spinning. No more Ken.
I got up and stood by the phone wondering if I should call him. It was only about 1:oo. I thought I should take another walk to get my mind off him. I thought it would be best to have to clear my mind.
When I got to the park I saw someone familiar. “Trista!” I yelled hoping she could hear me. She turned around. “Oh, hello, Lita.” “Trista, tell me something. I had a nightmare about Ken leaving me and it said if he was near me I’d die. You’re the guardian of the gate of time. You know the future. Tell me if it’s true!”
Trista looked down. “Lita,” She said trying to say it gently, “You know I can’t tell you the future. And even if I did the future is constantly changing. So really I can’t tell you whether or not you’ll die.” I looked at her, crying. I could feel the tears. “Please Trista,” I said quietly, “Tell me if there’s anything, anything at all you can do to help me.”
Trista looked at me. “All I can do for you, Lita, is to tell you that you two should stay apart. If the dream is telling the truth, then you must follow your heart. If you truly love Ken, then you’ll do what your heart tells you to. That’s all I can say.”
I looked up. “Thank you, Trista” I said trying to sound sincere but I knew I was doing poorly at it.
Trista smiled. “Lita,” She whispered, “Just follow your heart. That’s all you need to do.” I smiled. This time it was sincere.

I saw Ken coming towards me, with something in his hands. I thought maybe Ken wanted to talk to me. As he came closer I couldn’t sit still any longer. “Ken!” I yelled jumping up. He smiled and walked towards me. “Hi Lita! I just thought that you might want to know why I can’t see you anymore. Lita I didn’t tell you this because I didn’t want you to worry. Lita… I don’t want you to die…” “Ken, does this have anything to do with a dream?” Ken looked up. “Lita… how’d you know?” “Ken, I had the same dream.” I paused. As Ken turned around, I realized that a life without Ken wasn’t a life, to me. “Ken,” He turned around. “Ken, I don’t care what happens to me! I just want to be with you!” I ran to him and hugged him.
He looked down at me. “Lita…” “No Ken you can’t leave me! You said you’d always be there for me! You said you’d always be there for me.” I fell down to my knees crying. It was now raining and it reminded me even more of when I first met Ken.
Ken bent down beside me. “Lita, I know you’re willing to risk your life but I’m not.” “But you said you’d always be there for me Kennie…” He looked at me. “Lita… I guess you’re right.” I looked up. “I’m not going to let anything happen to you. I’m your protector. It’s my job. I won’t let anything happen to you.” I smiled. “Kennie!!!” He hugged me. I saw what he was holding. “What’s that?” I asked. He blushed. “It was a gift… a parting gift. You can have it now. But it won’t be for the same reason…” I opened it. “Kennie” I said staring at the necklace. “I love it. Thank you.” Ken hugged me.

I woke up at 12 midnight again. I had, had the dream again. I was still worried deep down, that I was going to die. But I thought that it was a worthwhile sacrifice so that at least I could see Ken. I sat up. Now at least Ken would be alright.
I decided that I should go see if he would be ok. I was worried that he wouldn’t be able to sleep. I heard a knock on the door and got out of bed. I stretched and hurried to see Ken at the door.
“Ken,” I said yawning, “What are you doing here? It’s only midnight.”
“Lita,” Ken said trying to sound unworried, “I was just um… well… I was worried about you Lita. I’m your protector. I can’t let anything happen to you.” I looked up. “Come in. I was just about to make some food.” “You were?” I blushed. “Yeah… in about six hours.” He smiled.
He walked in and sat down in the kitchen. I watched him fold a napkin in many different ways. I laughed. He looked up “What’s so funny?” He held up the napkin and it fell out of its form. “Oh nothing Kennie.” He smiled at me. I just laughed again. I was happy.
About 3 hours later we were both asleep. I was on the couch an he was on the floor. I woke up though when I heard a noise. I was scared but thought Ken would hear it too. Noticing that Ken was still sleeping I got up to see what it was. I thought if it wanted me it’d have to fight. A monster that looked ten times as gross and 20 times as strong as the ones from the nega-verse stood there in front of me. I looked at it.
“What are you?” “I am Istoffal, champion of the nega-verse. I’m here to find and destroy the sailor scouts.” I looked at him. He may look ten times as gross and he may be twenty times as strong but he was not even two times as smart.
“The who?” I said playing with his head. “The sailor scouts. Do you know them? I will be killed if they are not destroyed soon.” “I’m sorry, I don’t know them.” I looked at him. “But,” I said, “I might know something. If you’re going to face the sailor scouts you won’t find them on Earth. They only fight in a whole other universe and/or galaxy. No one knows for sure. It’s all just rumors, you know?” HE looked at me. “I am after a specific one. A male with a certain bond to Sailor Jupiter.”
I gulped. He was talking about Ken. I knew it. I wasn’t going to let anything happen to Ken. NOTHING.
“Why are you after him?” Ken asked. I didn’t even realize he had gotten up. “Because, it’s my orders. Do you know of the Sailor Scouts?” “No,” He said playing along, “All I know is that they don’t live on Earth. They live on some weird planet, something like Zerkon. Sorry.” He looked at Ken.
As he reached over he grabbed me and Ken saw this. “What are you doing?” Ken yelled. “Killing you two. No one can know this conversation we have had and no one can know about Zerkon.” (Huge sweat drops on Lita and Ken’s head) “Well it’s not us that know of Zerkon. Your master came here and told us everything.” Ken paused not even knowing if the master was a girl or a boy. “It told us to tell you. It wanted you never to come back. It hates you. It was just trying to get rid of you. Personally I think that you should just kill it.” Ken smiled. “MASTER!” The creature screamed. “You two have not seen the last of Istoffal, champion of the nega-verse, evil-doer, and ultimate enemy.” Istofall left thru a time vortex. (Huge sweat drops again.)
Ken looked at me. “Is it just me, or do they keep getting dumber and dumber?” I laughed.
Ken and I went back to bed, and tried to sleep. Ken obviously, didn’t have my troubles. I thought over and over about the dream. Was that what it meant? Or was it just a coincidence?
I tried to forget it all. When I finally was able to forget the strange things, my mind led me back to the lost earring. I wasn’t sure at all what significance it might have but I was pretty tired so I turned my brain off for the night and slept.

When I woke up the next morning I found Ken making breakfast. I stretched and I felt so soar. As I walked into the kitchen to find Ken, I remembered the dream. It was still haunting me. Apparently Ken was worried too, although he tried to hide it.
“So, Lita, how did you sleep?” He asked me. I smiled. “I slept on my side on he couch.” He looked at me. He walked over and gave me a big hug. He smiled and whispered “Well I guess living on Zerkon is out of the question now.” I laughed. I got what he meant. He put out some coffee. I looked at where the monster had stood last night. Ken looked at me.
“Lita? Um… the monster left this last night. I found it here in the morning.” Ken handed me a folded piece of paper. As I opened it my fingers froze. It could be bad, I thought. But still, I forced myself to open it and read it.
It had a picture of Jupiter. A beautiful drawing. My heart melted to see Jupiter again. It was lovely with all the stars, above it. I looked at all the different types of flowers. There was carination, daisies, and roses in all different colors. Roses. The picture had roses! My earrings had roses on them! That was it! The monster was after Jupiter, not me and Ken. I was sad, still, that I could not go home to my beautiful planet where the nice palace had once stood.
Ken walked over to me. “Someday Lita, someday,” he whispered in my ear. I smiled. “Yeah, I know.” I replied. “I know…”
The doorbell rang. I went out of the kitchen to see who it was. It was Rie, and Mina. “HI LITA!” Mina said. “Lita,” Rie interrupted, “I was wondering about the negaverse. They might be after…” I saw Rie was trying to say Ken, but she didn’t know what terms I was on with him. Ken walked into the room. “Me?” He asked Rie. “Ken?” Mina said. I looked at their confused faces. “Ken and I were here over the incident of Istoffal.” I laughed and everyone looked at me. Ken smiled.
“Um Lita…” Serena said slowly, “are you sure you’re ok?” I looked at her. (Huge sweat drops.) “What?” Serena said. (Bigger sweat drops.) “We’ll meet back here in an hour… I’m going to go to the store to pick up a few things.” I said. We all agreed and I left to the supermarket… alone, without Ken. On my way back I thought I saw someone. I wasn’t sure so I kept walking. I felt the person come up behind me. I was trying to walk fast so it didn’t look like I was afraid. I felt the person’s icy cold hands touch my back. I turned around, trying not to scream in fear. I saw a creature staring at me with its cold beady eyes.
“Princess Jupiter… it’s nice to see you again. This time you won’t escape.” “Do…” I started. I looked at it.

A flash of memory went through my mind. Back on Jupiter, there was once a brave knight who set out on a quest for my love. I had met ken and was in love with him so I had sent him away. He returned every year on the same day to ask for my love and every time he was rejected. After a few years, ken went off to war and he came back once more, asking for my hand in marriage. He told me ken had been killed and that he was now on my list. I believed ken was still alive, so I went out to see him.

(Memory)
(Arriving at the war campsite)
“Makoto what are you doing here?” “Well I thought it was obvious silly. I came here to see you.” “Makoto it’s not safe, I think you should go back…” “Shut up. I’m staying and that’s that.” “A warrior has left in search of you. It is the same one that keeps coming back. Makoto… I wonder if he know…” “I came here to warn you. I think his jealousy has gotten to him. I want you to be safe, Kennie…” “Makoto, go back now. I’m a warrior… I’ll be fine.”

(After the war)
“Kennie!” “Makoto! It’s nice to see you.” “I missed you.” “And I missed you.” “Step aside Soldier… I want to see princess Makoto.”

(Present)
“But why? Why are you here today?” “To finish him off once and for all. After he didn’t leave I had no other choice to go to the one person who had unlimited power, so I went to the negaverse. I was granted enough power to kill him. And as soon as I had the power and located you both, I came here, to finish some business.”

A pain shot trough my head. “What did you do to him? Where is he?” “Relax… he’s still alive, he’s just frozen in time.” “You killed him?” “Killed is such a strong word. Now Makoto, since your love doesn’t exist anymore will you marry me?”

I was to stunned to reply. Ken dead? This had to be a nightmare. I was going to make Istafoll pay for everything. Just I couldn’t move. I felt my whole body go numb and the only thing on my mind was Ken. I watched Istofall disappear.

“Lita! Lita what’s wrong?” Serena said, as she ran up to me. “Lita are you ok?” Rei asked. “Oh this is about Ken isn’t it? You should have listened to me. I told you he was trouble. Now the love that Darien and I have is real.” “Can it meatball head,” Rei said. “How can you be so mean Rie?” Serena wailed. “If your love with Darien is so real then where is he?”

Serena looked around and ran off. Rei picked me up and walked me to a bench. After a while I looked at Rei. “Thanks, Rei.” “Lita, what’s wrong?” “It’s nothing really. It’s just that…” I couldn’t bring myself to say it. I didn’t believe it was possible myself. After a while I was able to mutter the words. “Ken’s dead.”

Rei looked at me. “Lita, are you sure you weren’t dreaming?” “Yes. Rei back on Jupiter something happened. To make a long story short, a guy fell in love with me but I loved Ken and so he joined the negaverse so he could kill Ken and marry me.” “Ok… Lita you’re delusional. Come on..” I jumped up. “I am not delusional!” I ran as fast as I could until I reached a dead end.

“KEN!” I yelled. I reached out to hug him but my hand went right through him. “But… how?” I asked. “I’m not really here, Lita, I’m in your mind.” “But I’m awake… and I can see you…” “Let me rephrase that for you, Lita… basically I’m here but you’re the only one who can see me.” “So this is it? You’re gone. I’ll never be able to actually see you?” “It’s ok Lita…” “No! It’s not ok! I want to see you.” I yelled. “I’m sorry.” He whispered. “It’s ok it’s not your fault. You’re frozen in time. So you’re not really dead?” “No.” “Then maybe we can still help… I have an idea.”

“Lita, It’s over. Not even a miracle can save me.” “Shut up Ken!” He stared at me. “Um.. Ok” “Trista! Trista! I have a question.” “Lita? If it’s about Ken, I can’t help you. Changing time is dangerous and it can get all of us Killed.” “Trista, what if some one’s not dead, they’re just kind of sort of, say, frozen in time.” “Kind of sort of?” she laughed. “Trista! Ken isn’t dead, I think, he’s frozen in time! Can we save him?” “I told you I couldn’t help you, Lita.” “But Trista! You don’t understand Without KEN MY LIFE IS OVER!” “LITA, CALM DOWN. I SAID IF HE WAS DEAD. BEING FROZEN IN TIME IS ANOTHER STORY.” “OH.” I WHISPERED. TRISTA LAUGHED. “IT WASN’T FUNNY YOU KNOW. I REALLY WANT HIM BACK.” “RELAX. I HAVE AN IDEA.” “GOOD. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?” “IT COULD TAKE UP TO A YEAR.” “A YEAR! TRISTA!” “LOOK MAYBE I CAN SQUEAZE IT IN, IN ABOUT A MONTH.” “THANKS TRISTA.” I SAID. IT WAS SINCERE. I WAS HAPPY THAT I COULD GET KEN BACK. EVEN IF IT DID TAKE A MONTH.

KEN APPEARED. “OH MY GOD! WOULD YOU STOP DOING THAT? IT REALLY IS STARTING TO FREAK ME OUT.” I SAID. “WOULD YOU RATHER I NOT COME AT ALL.” I LOOKED AT HIM. “YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. BY THE WAY, NICE WINGS WHAT’S UP.” I FROZE. “KEN, ARE YOU?” “NO I’M NOT DEAD. THE WINGS ARE MORE LIKE TRANSPORTATION. I ONLY HAVE THEM BECAUSE…” I LOOKED UP. “BECAUSE?” “LITA, UM, I REALLY DIDN’T WANT TO WORRY YOU, BUT I’M KIND OF WELL… I’M NOT DEAD PARSAY, I’M JUST KIND OF WELL, DRIFTING.” “DRIFTING?” “I’M NOT REALLY FROZEN IN TIME, AND I’M NOT REALLY DEAD BUT I’M SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN.” I FELL TO THE GROUND. “NO! NO TRISTA CAN’T SAVE YOU! IT’S OVER! I’LL NEVER TOUCH YOU AGAIN!” HE GIGGLED. “I KNOW IT DOESN’T SOUND RIGHT BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!” I GOT UP AND RAN OUT OF THE ROOM.” “LITA.” HE WHISPERED.

AGAIN I FOUND MYSELF UNABLE TO SLEEP. KEN APPERED. HE HID IN THE CORNER, SO I WOULDN’T SPOT HIM. “I SEE YOU” I THOUGHT. “I KNOW.” HE WHISPERED. “WILL YOU STAY OUT OUT OF THERE!” “SORRY. I CAN’T HELP IT. I HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS LITA, WHETHER I WANT TO OR NOT. YOU SEE IT’S KIND OF LIKE SURROND SOUND.” I STARED AT HIM, THEN LAID MY HEAD BACK ON A PILLOW. I LOOKED AT THE WALL. TEARS FELL DOWN MY FACE. “I MISS YOU KEN.” “I KNOW THAT TOO.” HE WHISPERED.

I woke up to find Ken laying on my bed beside me. “What Angles sleep too?” I asked. “I’m not dead Lita. Stop saying I am.” “Look, I have to go to school. And don’t follow me.” I said to him. He got a cute look on his face. “Me?” I’m serious. I have to shower before I go, and don’t you dare go in the room!” “Ok.” He said. “I MEAN IT!” “Ok, ok.”

I got out of the shower. “Ken?” I asked as I got dressed. “I’m out in the living room!” “Why?” “Because I don’t want to be tempted.” I giggled.

Istoffal grabbed me. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” I asked him. “You killed Ken wasn’t that enough?” He looked at me. “I’m going to kill you now! You loved him more than me! Even with all his flaws!” “Like?” I asked. “He never cared about your feelings when he lied to you about moving.” I stopped fighting. The pain he put on me, all the pressure. I started crying. “Well at least he’s a gentlemen. He respects and listens to me. And he’s always there to protect me.” “Then where is he now?” “Right here.” Ken answered. “I can’t really pound you now, but if I could, I’d beat the shit out of you.”

Istoffal threw me across the room. “Come and get me. I’ll allow you to have touch for five minutes, starting now.”

Back with the other scouts…

“So Trista, the whole Ken Lita thing? How is it going to be solved again?” Serena asked. “MEATBALL HEAD! She already explained it seven times! Their love is the only force that can break the spell!” Rei yelled.

“Right and by using their love against him and getting back to first place they met.” “That’d be the park.” Amy said. “Yes,” Trista continued, “But there’re is a catch. You see they have five minutes from where they are right now, to get there.” “Where are they?” Luna asked. “Somewhere around there. About a few blocks south of it.” “When does the timing start?” Artimus asked. “Yeah,” Mina added, “Does it start when Istoffal is killed?” “No. unfortunately it already started. They have to kill Istoffal and get to the park. And their five minutes started about 3 seconds ago.” “Shouldn’t we tell them that they have to go to the park?” Darien asked. “No. unfortunately it’s not permitted. They have to figure it out themselves.” Trista whispered.

Ken ran over to me. He grabbed and hugged me. “Ken,” I whispered, “I love you.” “I love you too, Lita, I love you too.” He stood up, and so did I he kissed me. I looked at Istoffal.

He went over and hit him. “You leave Lita alone.” He punched him and hit him. They went back and forth. Ken grabbed his hand. “Come with me,” Isoffal whispered. They just disappeared. I stood there scared.

Istoffal and Ken stood in a swirling purple zone. “Look,” Istoffal pointed. “Look at all the things Lita has done to you. Look at all the bad things she has done. The way she treated you.” Ken looked at him. “And your point is?” Ken asked. “you’re not bothered by any of this?” “No,” Ken said. “I mean sure Lita does things that annoy me and I do things that annoy her, but if life was perfect then where would we be?” Istoffal looked at him.

“You didn’t need to even think for a minute. You knew you loved her. You didn’t doubt it.” The purple faded and they fell back to Earth. “Ken?” I yelled.

“I really thought I loved you Matoko, but I just found out what love really was. I guess I just had a really big crush on you.” He disappeared. Ken fell over. “Ken?” “we have to go now. We have about one minute to get to the park!” “Why?” I asked. “Just come with me."

We ran forever and ever. Ken faded. “Ken?” “I’m sorry Lita. It didn’t work. We only had 5 minutes to kill Istoffal and get back to the place we first met. It looks like we were a few minutes short of time.” I looked at him. This time I didn’t cry. “I’m not going to cry ken. You promised me that you’d always be there for me, that you’d be my guardian angel. I know that you would never break a promise. I don’t care if I can never kiss you or hug you again, just as long as I can see you.”

All of a sudden he regained form. “What’s going on?” I asked? “I don’t know, He replied.

Back at the other scouts, everyone looked at Trista. “Ok, Ok, so I broke a small rule but they were almost there anyway,” she smiled.

We kissed, forever. “I would have been by your side no matter what, Lita,” Ken whispered to me as we sat under the stars, “Except in the shower.” We laughed. “Who knows,” I said. “Are you suggesting something?” HE asked. “Maybe?” “Well know I have to go back so I can see you in the shower.” “Kennie!” I said laughing. We looked up at the stars.

No one is perfect and in life we all do stuff that we regret and stuff that others find annoying. But, the truth is no matter how annoying you are, those who truly care about you will look past your flaws and love you for who you are, not what you do.

Authors note. We all have pretty different ideas about love, and if the guy should be perfect of not. I think it doesn’t matter if he’s rich or cute (Just as long as he’s not to horrible to look at…) it’s what’s inside that counts. Remember there is a BIG difference between a huge crush and love, and many people often misuse the word love. Well enough about that and I hope you enjoyed the story!

Luv,
Bunny
