Not one of my favorite characters, but I'll tell ya about him anyways. Mamoru lives alone in his apartment and he works part time at a movie studio. When he was little, his parents died in a car accident and he lost all his memories. He lived in an orphanage until he could get a job. Mamoru said once that he used to be lonely without his parents, but he isn't lonely anymore because he had Usagi.

Despite the sentimental phrase above, in the anime Mamoru tends to mistreat Usagi alot, and she should have dated Seiya!!! *ahem* and will scold her for getting bad grades. In Sailor Moon S he wasn't too bad about treating Usagi, but in Sailor Moon SuperS he turns into a jerk. Mamoru also doesn't have any pictures of Usagi in his apartment,(he said he didn't need pics of his girlfriend -.- dork) which led his classmates to believe that Usagi isn't a "real" girlfriend.

Most people tend to agree that the Mamoru from the manga is much more romantic and sensitive. The reason for this is believed that Mamoru was created by Naoko Takeuchi in the manga, and an all male group of animators created Mamoru in the anime.

Mamoru is subject to lots of people fighting over him. Sometimes it's Usagi and Rei (earlier in the series), sometimes it's Usagi and Ann, sometimes it's Usagi and Fish Eye, but most of the time it's Usagi and Chibi Usa. Because of this, he does a lot of mediating between the fighting groups. (i don't know why they fight over him, he ain't that good looking)

He is also the fighter for justice, Tuxedo Kamen!! (Dork!!)

Tuxedo Mask is the Sailor of the earth (don't ask why he isn't a girl and doesn't where a short skirt - nobody knows). He uses his rose as a main attack, but also uses his extendable cain when he actually joins a fight. However, most of the time he'll just throw his rose, give a nice little cliché speech, and leave. His speeches are so lame.

In the second part of Stars he went away to America to study (but instead gets killed by Galaxia! ^^ We love you Galaxia-sama). Usagi was very sad to see him go, but he gave her a ring before he went away (this could be interpreted as an engagement ring).
